Bernadotte & Kylberg’s philosophy aligns perfectly with that of Hästens. We are driven to create beds that last. They are driven to create iconic design that lasts, always keeping function and the end-user in focus.

In 2017 we launched the two first results of our companionship of souls: the Marwari and Appaloosa beds – sophisticated interpretations of the blue check. Their designs both pays homage to our heritage as master saddle-makers and propels our blue check to a level of contemporary art.
Now it’s time for the next masterpieces. Specifically created to match and enhance the impressive characters of Marwari and Appaloosa, these Swedish-made bed benches and nightstands effortlessly complement all our beds. Exquisite craftsmanship and absolute dedication to quality mean these pieces excel in both beauty and function.

This Cubist intarsia patterned bed bench in ash makes a convenient resting place for the breakfast tray — or simply for storing extra pillows. A natural complement to the Appaloosa bed, thishandsome bed bench with sleek black legs is handcraftedin Sweden. Outside, the intricate intarsia pattern is in-laid by hand. Open the soft-closing lid and discover the inside; generous storage and a leather-bottomed divided drawer which glides sideways for maximum access and functionality. APPALOOSA NIGHTSTAND

A distinct bedside table in Cubist style, handmade in Sweden to complement the Appaloosa bed collaboration. The detailed ash intarsia pattern, inspired by the Hästens check, is intricately laid by hand. A generous drawer, hand fitted with hand cut dovetail joints, features practical dividers and smart leather detailing. Elegant black legs and a soft-closing door complete the look, which is available for both left and right-hand sides of the bed. Size: 35×35×75 cm

Designed by Bernadotte & Kylberg, this bench is also big on details with its intricate hand in-laid walnut intarsia pattern, elegant brass-style legs and a satisfyingly soft-closing lid. Inside lies generous storage and a clever sideways moving leather-bottomed drawer, complete with dividers to give all sorts of belongings a space of their own. Designed by internationally renowned duo Bernadotte & Kylberg, this Cubiststyle nightstand features a soft-closing door, spacious drawer with hand cut dovetail joints and leather details, plus the option of left or right opening. This sophisticated bed linen in our finest quality satin was originally designed to put the finishing touches on the Marwari bed. As with the bed, the collection was created by the award-winning Swedish design duo Bernadotte & Kylberg. The rich colors match the saturated cinnamon shades of the bed, but of course can just as well be used with our other models. The long-staple cotton imparts a beautiful luster and dream-like comfort. Available as pillow cases, down quilt covers with buttons, flat sheets and fitted sheets.
